Children and Youth
Develop a spirituality for the real world.
We believe faith grows best in community—through curiosity and questions, shared stories and space for reflection. No matter where you are on the journey - whether you are drawn to study, contemplative practices, or simply enjoy a good conversation with fellow travelers, there’s a place for you at Kenmore-Brookfield to explore, grow and be supported on your journey.
Tiny Tots and Children
Children are an integral part of our church family and an important part the life of our community.
A Children’s play area is located inside the church at Kenmore as well as outside on the grass beyond the courtyard.
The 9:30am Family eucharist is a relaxed service with a children’s talk, activity time for Teen/Kids, and a storytelling group (most Sundays) for the Tiny Tots!
Four times a year we hold Messy Church - a creative, activity-based service for all ages full of arts, crafts, games and something to eat!
Look out for special services including Blessing of the Backpacks at the beginning of the school year, the Blessing of the Animals on the first Sunday in October, and Family Christmas with interactive nativity play on Christmas Eve! (Dress up as someone from the Christmas story!)
Youth
Teenspirit is a space for high school-aged youth to explore faith through fun, friendship, scripture, and food. TeenSpirit is held on the fourth Sunday of every month Feb - Dec 4pm, leading into the Spiritalive contemporary service at 5pm and community meal.
What to expect:
Great fun playing indoor and outdoor games.
Meet new people and make friends of a similar age.
Safe and inclusive group discussions on Bible readings.
Learn how to use the teachings of Jesus in real life.
Just bring yourself! (And a friend or two if you like).
