2026 Mission Action Planning Resources and Parishioner Surveys
In 2026 we are exploring the question, How do we sustain a faithful, engaged and life-giving Anglican presence in Kenmore-Brookfield?
We have some points to consider:
How well are we stewarding the tradition and property we have inherited? Are we being good ancestors?
How do we discern our vocation to this particular place and time (ie. be a local expression of the Five Marks of Anglican Mission)?
How do we be a life-giving sanctuary for all - from clergy to parishioners to wider community - rather than another exhausted, over-extended community organisation?
A Mission Action Plan is not a business plan. A business plan asks, what will succeed against economic measures. A Mission Action Plan asks, what is relational, sustainable and faithful to this time and place? It will not solve every problem. It will, hopefully, produce a map through that will help us navigate complexity and reveal some resources to sustain us on the way.
As such we will, across July to September consider this sequence: Connection → Identity → Purpose → Vision → Capacity → Commitment
There will be opportunities to reflect and respond through surveys and other gentle prompts. I hope you will all participate.
